My first article on FightNightNews.com is up, and I have hit the ground running.
It is about Katrina Walters and Bernadette Robinson, and called "The MySpace Queens of Boxing". It discusses how MySpace.com is being used by them to spread news and information about fighters.
Check it out and don’t miss this boat, because as I write this, there are over 93 million accounts on MySpace with that number growing literally every minute.
As has now been reported, I am starting this week as a regular contributor to the hottest new boxing site on the Internet, FightNightNews.com.
This site is run by Mike Marley, who first began in the boxing business in 1963 at the age of 13 when he started the Cassius Clay Fan Club. Since then the colorful Marley has done just about everything including being an amateur boxer, a producer for Howard Cosell at ABC television, a boxing reporter for the New York Post, a public relations man for Don King, and earning his law degree.
FightNightNews.com should be both informative, fun, controversial, well-written, and, sometimes, outrageous. Make sure to check it out and bookmark it.

Included in this discussion are Jeremy Lappen commenting on the fight card for this event, the WFA's business and media plans to become a major mixed martial arts promotion, and his attitude to other mixed martial arts organizations.
Eddie also offers his usual NO HOLDS BARRED commentary on the latest move by the UFC to work with Pride in the wake of that group getting kicked off Fuji TV, a major broadcast network in Japan, following allegations in the Japanese media that Pride is actually owned and run by the yakuza, Japanese organized crime (charges which Pride, of course, denies).
To listen to NO HOLDS BARRED, just click here or here.
Also, NO HOLDS BARRED is available through iTunes.
The show is in MP3 format, so may take some time to download.
NO HOLDS BARRED is free to listen to and is sponsored by:
BJJMart.com, your premier source for all Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gear, videos, books, and much more.
King of the Cage, the number one cage fighting promotion on the planet.

On this week's edition of SecondsOut Radio, host Eddie Goldman comments on the upset victory by former welterweight champion Cory Spinks (35-3, 11 KOs) over Roman Karmazin (34-2-1, 1 ND, 21 KOs) to win his IBF 154-pound title in St. Louis, Missouri, this past Saturday night.
We discuss the importance of boxers using the social networking site MySpace.com to help win new and younger fans to the sport, and to promote and market themselves.
And interviewed are Jack Mosley, father and trainer of Shane Mosley, and Danny Smith, trainer of Fernando Vargas, about the Mosley-Vargas rematch coming up this Saturday, July 15, in Las Vegas, and to be shown in the U.S. on HBO pay-per-view.
It is free to listen to SecondsOut Radio, but you must register to gain access to it. Just click here, and listen, learn, and enjoy.
