SecondsOut Radio: MySpace Boxing, and Trainers Jack Mosley and Danny Smith
On this week's edition of SecondsOut Radio, host Eddie Goldman comments on the upset victory by former welterweight champion Cory Spinks (35-3, 11 KOs) over Roman Karmazin (34-2-1, 1 ND, 21 KOs) to win his IBF 154-pound title in St. Louis, Missouri, this past Saturday night.
We discuss the importance of boxers using the social networking site MySpace.com to help win new and younger fans to the sport, and to promote and market themselves.
And interviewed are Jack Mosley, father and trainer of Shane Mosley, and Danny Smith, trainer of Fernando Vargas, about the Mosley-Vargas rematch coming up this Saturday, July 15, in Las Vegas, and to be shown in the U.S. on HBO pay-per-view.
