    Computer Problems Again

A few months ago, I was briefly knocked offline by a hardware problem, a blown power supply on my main computer. That was taken care of, but now I face another and different problem: a virus, and one apparently picked up from an ad on a boxing web site.

When I get my computer back from repair, I'll be able to explain more about this in detail. For now, I just have to report that production of my shows has been slowed down. SecondsOut Radio was posted on time this week, but No Holds Barred has been delayed. Ironically, that edition of the show was supposed to discuss issues like the role of social networking and social media in the combat sports. Now we will have to add some discussion of the proliferation of adware, spyware, and viruses in ads on certain combat sports sites, and how to avoid them. So we will be back up and running soon, and feistier than ever.

    SecondsOut Radio: Andre Berto

  • SecondsOut Radio with Eddie Goldman

  • On this week's edition of SecondsOut Radio, host Eddie Goldman speaks with the WBC welterweight champion, Andre Berto (23-0, 19 KOs). He will be facing what could be the toughest test of his young career, as he fights the former WBA welterweight champion, Luis Collazo (29-3, 14 KOs), Saturday, January 17, at the Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. This fight will be televised in the U.S. on HBO.

In a lengthy interview, we discussed what to expect in this fight, how Andre plans to deal with his more experienced southpaw foe, how it was growing up in a family where participation in the combat sports was the norm, what his plans for the future are, his response to some criticisms directed his way, and more.

It is free to listen to SecondsOut Radio, but you must register to gain access to it. Just click here, and listen, learn, and enjoy.
