SecondsOut Radio: James Moore, Pawel Wolak, Joey Reynolds, Pacquiao-Marquez 2
On this week's edition of SecondsOut Radio, host Eddie Goldman begins by discussing his failed attempt to order the Pacquiao-Marquez 2 pay-per-view on Time Warner Cable in New York, and what happened next.
This past Saturday night, March 15, at the same time as Pacquiao-Marquez 2 in Las Vegas, the annual tradition of a major boxing show at Madison Square Garden on St. Patrick’s Day weekend continued. In the main event, unbeaten junior middleweight James Moore (15-0, 10 KOs) of Queens, NY, via County Wicklow, Ireland, faced the toughest opponent of his pro career, veteran former title challenger J.C. Candelo (27-10-4, 18 KOs). Moore won by a ten-round unanimous decision. In the co-feature, unbeaten junior middleweight Pawel Wolak, 20-0 (14 KOs) scored a second-round knockout over Dupre Strickland (18-3-1, 7 KOs).
Right after their fights, we spoke with James Moore and Pawel Wolak. We also spoke with legendary radio host Joey Reynolds of WOR 710 AM in New York, who attended this fight and covers boxing regularly on his Monday-through-Friday overnight general interest talk show.
