On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman speaks with Evolve MMA fighter Eddie "The Magician" Ng.

The popular prospect, who just turned 26 years old, is now 4-1 in his young MMA career. His next fight will at the ONE FC: War of the Lions card this Saturday, March 31, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. His opponent will be Malaysian Muay Thai champion Jian Kai Chee in a lightweight bout.

We spoke with Eddie "The Magician" Ng by Skype last Tuesday Singapore time (Monday New York time) about this fight and his career. We discussed how and why he moved to Singapore from the U.K., where he grew up, but had difficulty finding regular fights. He commented that he believes that fighters are treated with much more respect in Asia than what he saw in parts of the U.K. We discussed how he advanced from being almost self-taught through studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA videos, to training with world champions in many disciplines at Evolve MMA in Singapore. His appearance at ONE FC 3 follows a 45-second knockout victory at ONE FC 1 last September, so it looks like Eddie "The Magician" Ng has found a fighting home in Singapore.
