No Holds Barred: Ricardo Liborio
On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman once again has the pleasure of speaking with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling legend Ricardo Liborio.
Ricardo Liborio is the co-owner and head instructor for American Top Team, and also the head coach of the USA Grappling team.
Our latest discussion started by considering the "Werdum Effect" and the renaissance of jiu-jitsu and grappling techniques in mixed martial arts. We discussed how many of the fighters on the American Top Team roster have been doing of late in mixed martial arts and what they have planned, including Hector Lombard, Jessica Aguilar, Dan Hornbuckle, Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante, Bobby Lashley, Jeff Monson, and more. We focused on the close relation of wrestling and grappling, how grappling might become an Olympic sport, the role of USA Grappling, and the success in both mixed martial arts and grappling of many of the grappling world champions. We also discussed the various organizations in mixed martial arts, the upcoming MMA World Expo in New York November 12-13, the benefits of drinking green tea, eating cupcakes, and much more.
You can play or download No Holds Barred here. You can also download No Holds Barred here. If one link does not work, please try another. The show is in MP3 format, so may take some time to download.
The No Holds Barred theme song is called "The Heist", by Ian Carpenter.
