No Holds Barred: King Mo Lawal

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman once again speaks with the mixed martial arts fighter and freestyle and college wrestling champion, "King" Mo Lawal.

Making his debut for the Strikeforce mixed martial arts promotion on their card held this past Saturday night, December 19, "King" Mo scored a knockout over mixed martial arts veteran Mike Whitehead in just 3:08 of the first round. His mixed martial arts record now stands at 6-0, with 5 knockouts.

In a telephone interview recorded Monday, December 21, we had a lengthy discussion about his latest victory. We discussed what happened in this fight, his praiseworthy boxing technique, why he still has haters who do not understand his level of skill and athleticism, how he is being treated by the Strikeforce promotion, his plans for the coming year, fighting in a cage vs. fighting in a ring, contracts in mixed martial arts, the dangers of punching on the ground, how he would like to change the rules of mixed martial arts, his entourage of "queens" who accompanied him to the cage but were not shown on this live telecast, and more.
