Eddie Goldman of No Holds Barred and SecondsOut Radio and boxing historian and author Mike Silver were guests on the nationally-syndicated "Joey Reynolds Show" late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, December 9/10. Eddie Goldman is also the boxing correspondent for the "Joey Reynolds Show".

Mike Silver has a new book out entitled The Arc of Boxing: The Rise and Decline of the Sweet Science.

Our discussion focused on the theme of this book. We talked about the many problems in boxing and how the sport has fallen from being one of the most popular and technical in the world to one in which mediocrity, at best, rules.
