NO HOLDS BARRED: Savant Young, Ken Yasuda, Renzo Gracie, Ben Rothwell, Bas Rutten

  • NO HOLDS BARRED on PodOmatic

  • On this edition of NO HOLDS BARRED, host Eddie Goldman continues the preview of the 2007 International Fight League (IFL) World Championship Semifinals, which will be held this Thursday, Aug. 2, at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. On that card, the Tokyo Sabres face the New York Pitbulls, while the defending team champion Quad City Silverbacks take on the Los Angeles Anacondas.

The IFL held a prefight news conference Monday, July 30, at the legendary Gallagher’s Steak House in Manhattan. At that event, we spoke with 155-pound fighter Savant Young of the Tokyo Sabres, Coach Ken Yasuda of the Tokyo Sabres, Coach Renzo Gracie of the New York Pitbulls, heavyweight Ben Rothwell of the Quad City Silverbacks, and IFL spokesman Bas Rutten. We discussed the semifinals and, as usual on NO HOLDS BARRED, a lot more about them, the IFL, and their teams.
