NO HOLDS BARRED: Kurt Otto on the State of the IFL
On this edition of NO HOLDS BARRED, host Eddie Goldman speaks with Kurt Otto, the co-founder and commissioner of the International Fight League (IFL).
Among the topics discussed are the overall state of the IFL; their coverage in the media; their financial situation; the team format and their business model; prospects for their upcoming semifinals on August 2 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ, and their finals on Sept. 20 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL; plans for an IFL Grand Prix event to crown individual champions in five weight classes; a proposal to have those five champions face a team of fighters from another mixed martial arts company; recent changes in their television production; plans for the 2008 season; and what might have been done differently this past year.
