Those in the boxing world are quite familiar with the colorful, controversial, and legendary matchmaker Johnny Bos. Now Johnny has recently been facing a number of difficulties, including a triple whammy of congestive heart failure, a growing pile of bills, and a shrinking pile of checks.

There will be a roast and benefit for Johnny called Bosfest in New York this Thursday, February 15, to help raise funds for him. It takes place at Hurley's Saloon in Manhattan at 232 West 48th St between 7th and 8th Avenues at 7:00 PM ET. There are still a few tickets left at $250 per seat for what will be an unforgettable night. If you can't make the event but want to contribute, donations of $100 or more will get you a DVD of the event. And if you are unable to contribute this amount, please send whatever you can to Mike Marley, 250 W. 100th St., Suite 1102, New York, NY 10025 USA.

To discuss Bosfest, Johnny Bos, boxing writer Michael Woods, and I will be guests on the nationally-syndicated "Joey Reynolds Show" Wednesday night/Thursday morning, February 14/February 15.

The "Joey Reynolds Show" is heard on over 80 radio stations. This talk show airs live beginning at midnight ET and runs to 5 AM ET, on WOR 710 AM in New York. We are presently scheduled to come on at about 1 AM ET.

Sorry that I missed this post and this benefit :(.

Let me know if there is a foundation where a donation can be made for him.
