Tom Hauser: “Fighters Are Dying: Stop The Nonsense” on SecondsOut.com
The battle for fighter safety and against corruption in boxing may be heating up again.
Our colleague Tom Hauser has just posted an important article called “Fighters Are Dying: Stop The Nonsense” on SecondsOut.com.
The article takes the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s so-called medical guidelines advisory committee to task for accomplishing exactly nothing since it was set up last September. This committee was created, as the article points out, “in the wake of a four-month period during which four fighters left the ring in Las Vegas with bleeding in their brain. Two of them (Martin Sanchez and Leavander Johnson) died.”
