We speak with Oscar De La Hoya, who returns to action Sat., May 6, in Las Vegas, after a layoff of over 19 months, to fight WBC junior middleweight champion Ricardo Mayorga in the main event on HBO Pay-Per-View in the U.S. We speak with WBA junior middleweight champion Alejandro Garcia and former WBA welterweight champion Jose Rivera, who also fight Sat., May 6, but in Worcester, Mass., Rivera’s hometown, and on Showtime in the U.S. We also speak with junior middleweight contenders Kassim Ouma and Marco Antonio Rubio, who fight on the De La Hoya-Mayorga undercard, as well as the undefeated junior lightweight Joan Guzman, who fights veteran Javier Jauregui, also on that undercard.
