    “Nuking the Economy”

So you think that the American economy is just rolling along, do you? Check out a recent article called “Nuking the Economy” by Paul Craig Roberts.

The article argues – using a method much-ignored in what passes as journalism these days of analyzing FACTS – that “Over the past five years the US economy experienced a net job loss in goods producing activities.”

For those obsessed with examining ideology first rather than facts, consider this: Paul Craig Roberts was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan administration, an Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal editorial page, and a Contributing Editor to the conservative National Review. The article appears on the predominantly left wing web site CounterPunch which calls itself a “muckraking newsletter edited by Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair” which is pleased that their “readers write in to say how useful they've found our newsletter in their battles against the war machine, big business and the rapers of nature.”

So read this piece and analyze what it says and advocates for yourself. And DO SOMETHING.
