Just What Boxing Needed

Dan Rafael of ESPN.com is reporting that despite Zab Judah's loss Jan. 7 to unheralded Carlos Baldomir, his April 8 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. will still take place.

Approving this deal: Don King, Bob Arum, and HBO Pay$Per$View.

Is there any truth to the rumor that this triad has also called NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue trying to get the Giants to play the Colts in this year's Super Bowl?

Comments:
Judah doesn't even deserve a return match with Baldomir, let alone a PPV payday against Mayweather. Nobody will watch it anyway, and Judah will then more or less disappear from the boxing landscape.

The insects who run boxing never cease to amaze, do they? I hope Mayweather knocks Judah out of the ring.

Thanks for the comments. HBO is still scheduling almost one ppv per month. Since Jones-Hopkins 2 is at best delayed, they are dumping this at the beginning of April. I also agree that the buy rate will be abysmal.

I agree also with David, although there is no need to insult insects like this!

Plus, it appears that Judah still may have one or more of his titles.
